Sell Wise
UX/UI Redesign
Optimize the Item Disposal Process for Urban Residents
Background
In today's consumer-driven society, people frequently purchase items but rarely use them.
Items eventually end up unused, unwanted, or disposed of.
Problem
Online marketplaces are complicated and time-consuming for users.
They struggle with the process of selling, donating, or disposing of items.
Approach
A mobile application evaluates items, and provides solutions to users, including liquidation and listing.
The app has a user-friendly interface and a simplified flow for users.
Design Sprint - Day 1
In the challenge map, the selling process was highlighted because of its complexity level.
I picked the target and drafted a solution for this study.
Design Sprint - Day 2 & Day 3
I drew sketches and a storyboard for the user's actions and specified the flow to be made in the following days.
Design Sprint - Day 4
I created a low-fidelity prototype for the selling and picking up service.
Design Sprint - Day 5
I conducted two rounds of tests with five participants.
Style Guide
I revised the prototype with a style guide.
Improvements
I updated the design for a much more user-friendly interface.
Revised Prototype
I created an instant photo-listing function as a price reference for users.
Conclusion
By simplifying the input function, users are less stressed when listing multiple items at a time.
Users can seamlessly sell or dispose of items, choosing from a variety of options provided by the app.
